Vehicle description
Up for auction is a very clean example of a 1973 MGB. The interior is complete, very few blemishes (seat, some stains on carpet, but overall very clean and would do well with a professional detailer), no rust, straight lines, clean engine bay. It"s tough to find such a fine example of a chrome bumper 1973 MGB. Newer top, everything works. Now, the car was stored last year running a bit rich. We had to jump it to get it running, so we are planning on putting in a new battery. Also, the right rear wheel has locked up, so we are also hopeful on getting the brakes looked at. For now, we are selling it "not running or driving" even though we had it out last fall. It"s been stored in a climate controlled shop. Comes with a car cover.
There are no creases that often happen with novice owners, on the hood or on the trunk. Latches, locks, and handles work as they should. Exhaust is in great shape as is the undercarriage. No surface or bubbling rust anywhere. The undercarriage has some cosmetic corrosion, but easily remedied by undercoating. NO STRUCTURAL ISSUES. The car is being sold "as-is", no warranty on anything expressed. However, it is CLEAN, like crazy clean.
It was meticulously maintained by its previous owner. Based on the high quality of paint, I would figure it was repainted factory teal at some point, however there were no signs of overspray and I didn"t receive any information that it had been painted, it"s possibly original. The top is in fantastic shape and I believe that was replaced at some point. Tires are full of life and ready to roll. We have too many cars in our current collection and are looking to weed out some of them. It is currently stored at one of my shops, inside.
