Vehicle description
Great old Mercedes 220D I am selling for a friend! This car was used for an art project and was painted with metallic silver pinstriping enamel and the Mercedes logos have been removed. It has two fuel systems. The main fuel system is diesel. The secondary fuel system uses a custom aluminum fuel tank located in the truck and can run either diesel or vegetable oil. There is a switch located to the left of the stereo that can switch between the two. This style of car was intended to have two fuel systems and is cool because it has two exterior fuel bays which are original. The work was done by Full Circle Fuels in Oberlin Ohio and I have some links to the work they did included below along with more videos of the current condition of the car. It was tuned up and running great two years ago but has been in storage since and is not currently starting. Will work like a charm once you kick a few cobwebs out, though! The lock for the trunk is missing but can be opened by pushing the lever with your finger or a screwdriver. The passenger side head rest is loose on one side. No other known issues, though! Only extremely clean vegetable oil was used in the secondary fuel system. For context it still has the original fuel filter so the engine is still in fantastic condition. Please let me know if you"d like any more photos or info I"d be happy to fill you in on any other details!
