Vehicle description
For sale is a 1973 Ford Mustang Fastback. The owner passed away years ago and I recently purchased it off of his daughter. It has been sitting a few years since it was last driven. I put some fuel in, a fresh battery and it fired right up. Motor and transmission was said to be rebuilt in 2014. I believe it to be accurate information. It sounds very healthy and trans shifts smooth. The shocks are a bit soft. I took it about 70MPH. It is drives fine but a new set of shocks would make a major difference.
I drove it locally to test it then left it on idle for over an hour. It does not overheat. I checked all fluids and all appear clean and good but I would recommend doing a fluid service before driving a lot because it has been sitting a few years.
Interior is clean. Has A/C. All material is flexible and not dry or cracked. There are receipts from 2016 for new interior. The paint has several areas with chip or flaked paint. There is some evidence of body repair on the lower side. You can see the line where they didn"t smooth the body filler 100%. There are tons of receipts to show most of what was done or replaced.
Car has a clean and clear California Title and is currently on Non-Op status with the DMV so no back fees. it is a 1973 so it is pre-smog and will not need a smog inspection for registration.
