This is an ultra rare 1973 Corvette 454 Convertible. It has its original matching number engine. It is highly loaded with automatic transmission, PS, PB, PW, A/C, Tilt/tele column, leather interior and a hardtop. The A/C is not working, but all intact. The body and frame are near mint. The interior is excellent. The engine has been rebuilt with less than 5000 miles on it. Even the paint is reported to be original although it does have its share of scratches and I cannot confirm the originality of it. The car has only had three real owners. The original warranty card and owner"s manual are included with the original owner"s name and address and you can see the mileage on various registrations so the 73,000 miles are original. The car runs and drives excellent. A little loud for me with the straight through the tips exhaust though. The headlights have a little problem coming up, probably from the very little use the car has had in the last few years. The brakes and suspension are all good. The soft top needs replacing and the previous owner took out the rear window to the hardtop to paint it and lost the glass, but the hardtop shell will be included in the deal. The car has headers, but I have the original big block exhaust manifolds, the original cast iron intake and the original dual snorkel air cleaner which go with the car. This is a very rare car, almost the last of the big blocks. One in six corvettes were convertibles at this point and one in seven were big blocks. This could be one of only 7-800 454 convertibles made and it is extremely nice and way above average with some documentation. Please be serious if you bid. Car is sold with transferable registration and dealer bill of sale which is good in all states. Title can be obtained, but it will take time and full payment must occur first.
