Are you the owner of a Citroen SM which has a nice interior and a good engine, but has so much rust on the body that it"s in need of a new chassis? Or, have you been looking for the perfect SM project to rebuild into a beautiful masterpiece? Well, have I got a deal for you! Here is a rare 1973 Citroen SM bodyshell that was originally equipped with the more powerful 3.0 liter motor and automatic gearbox. What I am selling is a rolling bodyshell that comes with many parts which can be used to help you assemble a finished car. The bodyshell shows no signs of being involved in an accident, (no large bondo areas, and no bent chassis, except for the rear trunk floor, which was probably damaged during transport in the past) In general the bodyshell also is solid in the rear suspension area where these cars used to have rust issues. They only part of the chassis which will need some welding restoration work is around the right front floor under the passenger side door hinges, which is shown in the photos.
I have a clear title for the car , and I will also include with it an automatic gearbox which came off a running drivetrain. I will also include the doors and fenders, hood and bumpers for an additional $1000.
I have the largest stock of Citroen SM cars and parts on the east coast, and can supply nearly any other part which is needed to fully restore this vehicle. The main reason why it is being made available for sale now, is because I have many other SM"s in the process of restoration inside my shop and do not have the time or space to handle more vehicles at this time.
For anyone overseas in Europe or anywhere else, who would need the car to be transported, I can offer safe delivery of the car to a shipper at the port of New York or New Jersey for only an additional $300.
I have transported Citroens all over the USA for over 30 years and have a specially equipped trailer to handle the special requirements of safely transporting a hydraulic suspension classic Citroen.
