Vehicle description
Thanks for taking a look at this listing. These Volvos were a barn discovery and this auction comes with a parts car, but the parts car has no motor. Because there are two vehicles here and to keep it easy to follow - let"s refer to the full car as the "motor car" and the parts car as the "parts car."
Motor Car: 1972 Volvo P1800E Leather seats Manual transmission *This car starts up and runs, but I"m betting because it has sat inside a barn for a while - it will need a tune up. I have driven her less than .5 mile since I purchased her (1 month ago), and I"ve started her up each week. There doesn"t seem to be any rust on the undercarriage of the car and random spots with rust on the body of the car. It comes with the 5 original hub caps for the wheels. I don"t know if the tires or rims are original but the rims say "Volvo" on them (see one of the pictures). There are a few dents on the door but the parts car has a dent-free door that can be used to replace it. The carpet seems to be original but just needs a good cleaning. The odometer shows "6,028" but I"m fairly certain that"s not accurate. I spoke to the owner and he mentioned in the last 9 years it has not been driven much, and the previous owner didn"t drive it much either, so while this might not be accurate - it doesn"t seem likely that it would be a lot higher. The listing states that I have a "clean title" but only because it was the only option I could choose. There is no title but only because NH state does not require a title with an antique car of this year. There is also a small rip on the top of the bench seat in the back of the car (see one of the pictures). If you need a title, I have the bill of sale and the last valid registration of the previous owner. I"ll work with you on whatever is needed to get you a title if you require one for your state.
The previous owner also kept lots of records, including previous order receipts for ordering parts from CVI Automotive, plus a CD labeled "Volvo P1800 repair manual and parts ID catalogue" - pictures of each order are within the shared folder link below.

Parts Car: 1972 Volvo P1800E - with Sunroof Leather seats *This parts car has no motor and has lots of rust as it"s been sitting outside of the barn. Most of the undercarriage is rusty but there are lots of usable parts on this car, and I"m sure more than I can see as I"m not an expert. The sunroof is a cool feature and from what I"ve learned - very rare with this car. I"m not sure it matters if you"re not going to use the frame. From what I can tell - the parts list contains the following: Front lights Front blinkers (passenger blinker is cracked) Front bumper Grill Windshield Side/rear view mirrors Shade for sunroof All windows (no cracks) Rear blinkers and reflectors Rear lights (passenger light is missing cover) Dashboard Pedal Console Rear seat back (this seat is dirty but it"s not ripped so it could potentially replace the motor car"s seat) 4 wheels and hubs PICTURES OF PARTS CAR: https:/ www.amazon.com/photos/shared/x3eVX5faRPWAmSwpiCF3tg.cOlCHqtDWZDqXsPF8o6lqU
Both of these cars are housed in a body shop parking lot in Eliot, ME and if you"re local (or close enough) - I"m happy to show you both of the cars. If they don"t sell on this auction I"m going to store them for the remainder of the winter and work to fix them up and resell in the spring. Thanks for looking and let me know if you have any questions at all - I"m happy to help and will be available to help as much as I can with transportation of the cars.
