Vehicle description
Volkswagen Karmann Ghia . Condition is Certified pre-owned. This was a true barn find. It was parked in a barn for 30 years when the 2nd owner shut it off, parked it and forgot about it. I believe the odometer is correct at 35k. I found this car at the 2nd owner"s estate sale where there was a collection of vintage cars for sale.
I have done a lot of cosmetic work on this car such as new paint, new carpet, new upholstery including trunk, new tires and wheels, air shocks on rear, new headliner. When you look in the engine compartment you will see everything mechanical is original such as the engine, transmission, etc. It is all as it was when manufactured. Note the addition of the cute luggage rack on the engine compartment lid in the pictures. I consider this a moderately restored car and everything looks good. I also consider this car as a daily driver as it is not perfect but in wonderful condition, especially considering this car is 48 years old. This car came with the factory auto stick transmission which is Volkswagen"s semi-automatic. This is a rare car with the auto stick. Volkswagen only produced a small number of this model.
Everyone that sees this car wants to stop and talk about it and how nice it is. It has original chrome (great condition), seat belts and engine transmission. There is no rust; never any damage other than scratches and dings in the original paint. You won"t find a nicer daily driving car than this - especially for this price.
