Finished with a Turquoise exterior and Black Vinyl interior. The 5 digit odometer currently reads 39,513. Options on this 1972 Campmobile Bus include the Westfalia "Pop Top" Camper Package, interior sink, fridge, 14 inch wheels, curtains, interior tables, CD player and much more. This Campmobile just underwent a complete oil and fluid service within the last 20 miles and it drives very well. It was just purchased out of a long term collection which consisted of many air cooled Porsches. The 4 cylinder engine feels and sounds great and the manual transmission shifts as it should (a bit all over the place and loose until you get used to it). The steering is precise and the brakes feel just great. This really is a fun Volkswagen to drive. The interior is really nice. The Black Vinyl seats are in excellent condition (see pictures) with no interior rips or tears anywhere at all. The interior tables, sink, top, etc. are in very nice condition with just a few handles and plastic bits missing. The exterior is what really sets this particular Volkswagen Campmobile Bus apart from the rest. The refinished Turquoise paint looks very nice with no major scratches or dents anywhere at all. The paint is bright and shiny with plenty of luster. Add the sport style 14 inch wheels mounted on great tires and this Camper really does look special. The 1972 Volkswagen Campmobile Westfalia Bus really is the ultimate collector Van. It has iconic looks, the practicality of a camper and period and simple Volkswagen mechanicals and reliability. As the advertisements used to say, "It goes on vacation with you". There are a few "apologies" to this Campmobile that I would like to mention. There is a bit of corrosion here and there (see pictures) that is to be expected on any used Volkswagen, there are a few interior handles that are not in great condition (see pictures), the interior wood headliner is present but not in great shape and the paint has been refinished to a good but not concours level.
