Vehicle description

About this vehicle This 1972 Triumph TR 6 is an original. The owner has had it for 1 year. The vehicle is drivable and is not regularly driven. Vehicle Details For sale is my 1972 Triumph TR6 2.5l straight six, 4 speed manual. A timeless British classic, with the looks and sound of a true classic sportscar. Finished in the classic Maroon Red color. I’ve owned this car about 9 months, it has sat in my garage the whole time and hasn’t seen the elements apart from 2 drives in the sun, and today to bring her out and give her a deep clean again. I buy a lot of project cars and this one was beat up when I picked it up. I got it relatively cheap from 2 guys in California who we’re attempting to flip cars and clearly weren’t too knowledgeable on what to do. It is on a salvage title certificate (hence the cheap price) but overall, it looked pretty good, had a free turning engine which fires up nearly first time every time, has good wheels and brakes, seems structurally sound and as it’s been mostly a west-coast car it is not completely hammered with rust. The mileage on the clock is relatively low. Whilst I can’t guarantee this, I’d say overall it doesn’t look like it done much more mileage than that. As this is a salvage title certificate, please be sure you understand you’d have to go through additional work to get this registered and an inspection. This would make a great project car for someone with a good base. I must get rid of some of my projects, and I know this one isn’t near perfect in many ways but time to pass it on; I had big plans (as always) to make this a classic I’d keep, but other priorities exist. This could be had for a steal seeing as fully mint one (albeit clean titles) are $30K+ (Same color one, 1974 up for $30k+) with even some rougher looking ones touching $20K. I’m not looking for or expecting near those figures, which is reflected in the low reserve. There is currently one for sale for $8K in California with salvage title, just out of storage, likely needs more work than this and has a lot more miles on the car from the looks of it. When I bought this, I had to do a full cleanup and tune-up, with all filters, hoses, cables, and fluids refreshed. I spent maybe 40+ hours working on the electrics and the ignition and have a brand-new alternator to go onto the car too. Lots of other parts like the seal for a new windscreen, the brackets and levers for the roof and other bulbs and brackets. Carb refresh was also done sept 2020 and some other work for $1200. The good – Mileage, whist can’t guarantee seems relatively genuine Free turning engine, good sounding once warms up Gears shift well, but is some slight looseness to the shift lever Great sound notes from the original exhaust Tires are good, brakes seem good Roll bar adds to aesthetics, as does side numbering General tune up complete Original steering wheel and shifter by looks of it $1.5k+ spent in last year on carb refurb, tune up, electrics The bad No windscreen, wipers or roof currently Not registered or inspected Dashboard needs finishing, I have fixed most of the electrics in the back side of it Previous owners tried to touch up paint issues, made it worse in places Seats are worn, as are some exterior parts like some side lights Chrome bumpers could do with a refurb Ignition switch needs tightening, battery is low, alternator needs fitting Salvage title certificate Some slight steam coming from the radiator upon heavy driving Buyer must arrange pick-up, or I can assist if you require through my import/export company for a small fee of $100 plus cost of shipping. The car would be pickedup from myself and delivered to your door securely. Again, please be reminded this is a salvage certificate title currently Exterior Interior Engine Download the Motors app
