Fun to drive! Regularly serviced by a professional mechanic. Since 2014 the following has been replaced the fuel pump, coolant bottle, valve cover gasket, electronic ignition, ignition coil, carburetor, brakes, battery, and tires. Since owning my Saab, I"ve driven itfor about 2500 miles, mainly around the neighborhood and to local car shows. This is a good complete Saab that runs and drives. The outside has a small amount of rust on the lower portion oft he driver and passenger doors. There is also bondo on some areas as well. The car was originally from Wisconsin and this is where the body issues have come from. I have included several photos of the areas to best describe them. Recently the car started to occasionally not engage first gear. The problem is possibly with the shifter and I will supply a universal joint for the shifter with the sale. The car is still able to be driven in this condition but it might miss the first gear when accelerating from a stop. The rest of the car drives well. The interior is in great condition. The dashboard and the seats do not have any cracks or tears. Their is a small tear on the top portion of the driver door which is described in the pictures. Most Saab 96s that I have seen need extensive interior work. This one is in great shape. This is a good complete Saab 96 which is a good candidate for a restoration or can be enjoyed as is once the shifter is sorted out. Also included with the sale is another complete dashboard that is in good condition and a front and rear bumper with minor cosmetics issues. I will also include Saab mechanical books to the buyer.
