Vehicle description

1972 PLYMOUTH ROAD RUNNER RESTORATION PROJECT NO MOTOR OR TRANSMISSION In 1972 Plymouth built only 7628 Road Runners TOTAL of that 7628 only 1489 were "P"code 400 big block automatic cars of which this is one of. Its getting harder and harder to find solid Mopar projects most all of them need a ton of sheetmetal work. I have owned this car for three years now and not done a thing with it. I have come to the conclusion it is time to cut it loose and let someone else have a go at it. This car was parked in a garage since 1987 before I bought it, The thing that drew me to it is the inside floors, trunk floor and frame rails are ROCK SOLID. Still showing their original Y2 Sunfire Yellow paint, you can still see some on the rockers outside floorpans and even on the framerails! I fell in love with it because of that. Most restoration projects get abandoned due to the extensive cost and labor of changing, floor pans, frame rails and trunk pans. This car may cost you a little more than a rustbucket but in the long run it will save you thousands. The lower quarters will need some patchwork but not full quarters. The lower door corners will need some attention as well. All that type bodywork is the easy stuff. Someone pulled this car apart and started working in the engine compartment. It was at that time the body tag was lost, hey it was the 80"s most people didn"t even realize what that thing was. This car was an original Y2 Sunfire yellow with black bench seat. It is and automatic on the column and it has power disc brakes, power steering, hood mounted turn signals, remote control rally mirror, rear sway bar, and it is an A/C car. Rare color and options list must have been a factory ordered car. It is and original RM road runner and does have the vin serial stamped in the radiator support as it should. It now has a pair of Volare Road Runner bucket seats in it the original bench is gone and so are the gauges just the bezel is still there. This car will need a COMPLETE restoration, if you do not see something in the pics it DOES NOT come with it. I did include a photo of the extra parts I have with it in the trunk. Please ask any questions before bidding. This would be a great start to a stock restoration, pro touring with a late model HEMI or 70"s style Street Machine build. If you see what finished 72 road runners are bringing you will realize what a deal this is. I am not selling it because I need the cash, I am selling it because I need the SPACE. I have a problem when it comes to old cars LOL! I have a clear NC title in MY name this is my own car I am not a dealer Please read and understand my Terms and Conditions below.
