Vehicle description
Rare 1972 Hurst Olds Pace Car.
Awesome opportunity to own one of the last of the muscle cars. This rare Hurst Olds (smallest production year) is numbers matching (serial numbers) engine, transmission, and rear end. Intake manifold, carb, and heads are original and correct. Because of it"s rarity and being correct, this is an investment grade muscle car. They rarely come up much less so original. First serious offer could take this car well below market value at the asking price.
Out of all the Hurst Olds cars, the 72 was the smallest production number of the legendary car line. Only 629 cars were made and only 499 were hardtops. All cars came with the 455 motor, the Hurst Dual Gate Shifter, and W-25 Ram Air Hoods. The cars also have extremely reflective gold stripes that show up extra bright at night. This car has some rare options such as factory AC (presently not working, but in the car) 3:42 Posi Rear End, and factory Outside Air Thermometer (both very rare). This car has gone through a complete and older restoration (2009) and as mentioned above, has a numbers matching engine, transmission, (vin number stamped on both) and Rear End. Heads, intake, carb also numbers matching. The car does have headers. The interior is super clean with the only flaw being a small crack on the center consul. . There is no wear or tear on the vinyl seats, dash, or carpet. The car has had a repaint and new stripes. There are no dents, dings, or scratches in the paint. Decals are new and in excellent condition. The vinyl top has also been replaced and has no flaws. Motor and transmission have been rebuilt and are super clean. Carburetor has just been professionally rebuilt and brakes have recently been gone through. Underneath the car is very clean with a recent refresh to make it show worthy. Note that there is no rust on the undercarriage and upon close examination it appears the sheet metal is all original. Car runs and drives extremely well and is ready for show. This is one beautiful car and the last of the muscle car era. Please only contact me if you have serious interest in this special car. I am selling a few cars from my collection and do not have time for chasing requests that are not serious. I welcome physical inspection of the car by you or a third party. Nothing to hide with this great vehicle. I can be contacted at [email protected] and will also give out my phone number to serious inquires. I can also send pics of all the numbers and closer detail of requested areas on the car.
