Vehicle description
I am selling one of my nicest MGB GTs. This MGB GT is likely the most well-kept and desirable MGB GTs around that can also be a daily driver. I have found absolutely no rust on this car. In addition to being of the highly desirable 1972 vintage with chrome bumpers, this car has 2 other rare and very desirable features: (1) Overdrive that works perfectly and easily holds 70 -80 mph on highways, and (2) After-market air conditioning that works great even on the hottest Texas summer days. The car has been very well cared for and also serviced by one of the leading MG specialists in Dallas, Texas. This is my personal car, and I have always kept it in my garage. I typically drive the car one or two times a week and to local car shows. I do not drive it in the rain or in other inclement weather. The car starts up every time, and the engine runs strong. It’s fun to drive, handles well, shifts well, and gets attention everywhere that it goes. The car passes the annual Texas State Safety Inspection requirements without issue. Exterior. The car’s body is very straight and has solid rocker panels, The paint, while not perfect, is very presentable with a few minor touched-up paint chips, scratches and other typical paint blemishes. The car has upgraded wire spoke wheels, which add a classic look and are a perfect contrast to the dark green paint color. The chrome bumpers, wire spoke wheels, and tires are all in nice condition. Interior. The interior is nearly perfect. It has the correct vinyl seats, a dash free of rips, tears or scratches, the correct steering wheel, and all gauges work as they should. The a/c blows cold; the heater blows hot. Note that there is a blanking plate rather than a radio. The doors are excellent and the windows are clear and free of any cracks. The carpets are like new and the floor mats are in great condition. Undercarriage. The undercarriage is very clean, which is very unusual for a car of this age and type. Mechanics always comment on how clean the undercarriage of this car has been kept. Engine Bay. The engine bay looks immaculate. The temperature is always at N or below; the car has an upgraded oil cooler and holds perfect oil pressure at idle and driving. Obviously, a lot of time, effort, pride and $$ was invested to restore this amazing MG to be as nice as it is today. It"s becoming increasingly difficult to find an MGB GT this well kept. This is one that you can enjoy now as a daily driver or for car shows; not a project car as so many of them are these days.
I’m selling my MG only to make room in my garage for a “normal” car for my 16 year old. I’m happy to assist with shipping, at buyer’s expense, or pick-up. I have the original Texas title in hand, along with 2 sets of keys. It’s a beautiful British car, and the new owner will be very happy with it. Good luck bidding. The car is being sold as-is, without warranty, and the deposit is non-refundable.
