Vehicle description
Welcome to my auction! You are bidding on an amazing original rare 1972 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Fastback, with original 351 Cubic Inch 5.8 liter Cleveland V8 with Cruise-O-Matic 3 speed automatic transmission! VEHICLE DESCRIPTION · After I purchased this incredible Mach 1 at the Mecum live auction in Denver, CO on July 13, 2019, I spent the past year and a half making this amazing car look and run almost new, including the following: · Only 1400 miles on professional rebuild of the original stock engine. · New Holley 80670 carburetor. · All new front and rear brake pads, drums, rotors, springs, lines and calipers. · New rear differential and axle bearing and seals. · New engine mounts. · New crank pulley with harmonic balancer. · New alternator. · New 4 row HD radiator with all new hoses. · New spark plugs. · New belts. · New water pump. · New chrome valve covers. · Brand new BF Goodrich radial T/A matching stock tires. · New luxurious sheepskin seat covers. · New custom fit car cover. · New chrome exhaust tips. I had the car put on the dyno when I first purchased her from Mecum. She ran at 187HP and 274 ft lbs torque. After all of the work I did to her and after the original engine was professionally stock rebuilt, she was put on the same dyno and she ran at 210HP and 285 ft lbs torque! STANDARD FACTORY OPTIONS · Power steering · Air conditioning - Selectaire · Color-keyed spoiler/bumper · Unique grill with sport lamps · Competition suspension · High back bucket seats · Color-keyed racing mirrors · Deluxe two-spoke steering wheel · Sport deck folding rear seat · Spacious trunk with original spare tire · Magnum 500 wheels · Mach 1 sports interior · Louvered back window OTHER EXCITING FEATURES · The beautiful light pewter metallic paint with the iconic black Mach 1 "hockey stick" strip package looks to be original! · The all black interior looks to be original, including the headliner that looks brand new! · The original 2 speaker 8-track player works great! · Includes original window sticker, build sheet and owner"s manual. · I have every maintenance record since she was purchased brand new on July 29,1972. THE ONLY ISSUES THAT I AM AWARE OF ARE: · Air conditioner does not work. The compressor had a hole in it, so it was removed. All other factory parts for the air conditioner are still installed. · There is minor wear and tear on the original seats and floor carpet. (I installed seat covers and floor mats to hide the wear and tear) I have the title in hand, so if you are ready to own this original rare piece of automotive history, now is the time to grab her before she is gone.
