“I used to have rubber strip on sides of both doors for protection when opening doors that has been removed so some old hard rubber needs to be scraped off which I just didn’t do. And like a lot of old cars there is a little oil leak. Overall though this is a great mustang. All someone needs to do to get this car to show quality is throw a nice paint job on her, tighten up that oil leak, and a couple other little things and this beast will turn into a machine!!”

Vehicle description

About this vehicle This 1972 Ford Mustang Mach 1 351 is an original with updates to the interior. The owner has had it for 5+ years. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend drives. Seller"s Notes I used to have rubber strip on sides of both doors for protection when opening doors that has been removed so some old hard rubber needs to be scraped off which I just didn’t do. And like a lot of old cars there is a little oil leak. Overall though this is a great mustang. All someone needs to do to get this car to show quality is throw a nice paint job on her, tighten up that oil leak, and a couple other little things and this beast will turn into a machine! Vehicle Details Grabber Blue 1972 Ford Mustang Mach 1. Beautiful car inside and out that is almost all original. The only thing I added was a dual exhaust system which includes hooker headers, flow master muffler, and borla exhaust tips. I did also change interior from white to black. I do still have white door panels and visors that will be put in trunk when sold. The headlight on drivers side has also been replaced. Brief history of this 72 Mach 1. I believe I’m just the 3rd or 4th owner. Mustang was purchased May 6th, 1972 from Canyon Ford in Phoenix Arizona as I have original receipt and letter from Ford thanking the buyer for purchasing vehicle. I also still have manual that came with car and even the plastic envelope it came in. From what I was told original owner of mustang gave car to his daughter who lived in California. She ended up giving car back to her dad a couple years later because every time she drove it people wanted to race and she just didn’t want it. Then in 80’s car was sold to gentlemen that I bought the car from. There it pretty much sat for 20 some years until I bought it in summer of 2004. When I saw it I had to have it and sold off my hot wheel collection to get it. About the Mustang Mach 1. First and foremost I am NOT a car guy, I’m just a fan of American muscle cars so I’ll answer any questions best I can. As mentioned I purchased car in 2004 and it had roughly 84,000 miles and today it has 115,775 original miles. Car has 351 Cleveland 2 barrel and everything under hood is pretty much original. The interior used to be white, but after 48 years I changed it to black and bought custom door panels and had seats done in black. Dashboard and rest of inside is original. Car is rust free and I just had a bunch of maintenance done which you can see part list in pictures. When car was first bought owner changed from grabber blue to white and then in 80’s it was changed back to blue. After all this time it does need a good paint job, but overall still decent looking paint. Mustang is set up for air conditioning but I never messed with it or tried to have Freon replaced. Not much else to say really. I’m not going to sit here and list every pro/con with car so I’ll answer emails for specific questions you might have. This Mach 1 will be 50 years old next year and this one hasn’t been all ripped apart or had the engine changed out so if you want a pretty clean original Mustang Mach 1 this is the one for you. And if not I’ll keep on driving this bad boy myself. One other thing, if you don’t like attention, driving fast, people taking pictures or videos of your car, people waiting outside of store by your car so they can tell you their stories when they had a mustang, etc, etc then this isn’t the car for you. Car to be picked up in Tucson Arizona. Reserve has been lowered to $17K. I’ve got a standing offer so this will absolutely be last go around for this Mach 1 so if you’ve been wanting that Mach 1 in great condition now is your chance. Images Videos Download the Motors app
