Vehicle description
Vehicle Description:
1972 Mustang Mach 1, Rare Q-Code w/ matching Cleveland “Cobra Jet” 351-4V engine. Dark Green Metallic w/ Argent (matte silver) accents paint appears to be original factory paint job. This is very much an untouched original Mach 1, which are getting harder and harder to find. AS I NEED TO SELL THE CAR I HAVE AN EXTREMELY LOW RESERVE ON THIS CLASSIC MACH 1.
I am not a professional reseller or car dealer, just a guy who likes old cars. I’m in the unfortunate situation of having a get rid of most of my small car collection because I have more cars than space, time, or money to deal with them anymore. This rare Mach 1 is a good candidate for restoration, although I had preferred to keep it original and untouched as I like a little bit of “character” on my classic cars. I had the engine gone through/tuned and the brakes redone less than 500 miles ago by one of the top classic car shops in the area. The starts starts right up and runs good making it a fun driver in its present condition. The interior is in very good shape with no rips/tears or heavily worn out areas.
This car is a unrestored 46 year old car so it is by no means perfect. The original paint is bubbled or peeled off in multiple areas (see pictures as I tried to show those areas as best I could). There are areas of rust showing through paint on lower side panels (see close up pics). A little surface rust on the chrome rims but nothing a little elbow grease couldn’t remove. Front passenger seat is missing two bolts that hold it in place so it rocks a little when you sit on it but it appears to be an easy fix. Upholstery near rear window is untucked (no ripped) and needs some type of clip or something to hold it down.
