This Mach 1 is the real deal, Decode the Vin and you will find that this is an original factory 1972 Ford Mustang Mach 1, with a 351 Cleveland V8, and a 2 barrel carb. The 2 barrel has been replaced with a 4 barrel and it runs and sounds terrific. Video is posted here and on YouTube.
This car has had some modifications, but we have all of the original parts except the 2 barrel carb. The prior owner had the front suspension changed to a rack and pinion and it handles great, he had a tilt wheel installed with a wooden steering wheel, which also makes getting in and out much easier. He also removed the original rear end with drum brakes and had a Mustang Cobra rear end installed, with rear disk brakes, and new leaf springs installed that lowered the car slightly. The car handles much better than it did from the factory, much less body roll, the rack and pinion makes it a lot of fun in the curves and the 4 speed simply makes the car.
Come on, you know that you do not want a MUSCLE car with a slush box. All of us that buy and enjoy these cars want one thing, we want to rev it, dump the clutch, and hear those tires spin. This Mach 1, dressed in the best colors that they ever came in, does not disappoint, hear the new throaty dual exhaust from the headers to the tips.
