We acquired this vehicle from our 77 year old customer who bought it new in 1972 from a Ford Dealership in Huntingdon Valley PA
It was always garage kept and was his family"s 2nd Vehicle. It was daily driven for 8 years and then was a weekend car. We have a copy of the original title and a bag full of books with the car. The Marti Report will be also be included
Everything but the wheels are original on the car and we can possibly get the original hubcaps/wheels which the owner still has in his attic.
Exterior: The paint shines great, the body is in tremendous shape considering its age and originality. Theres a small ding on the trunk that can be removed with a paintless dent professional. There"s also a small dent on the rear bumper. As far as rust there"s 2 trouble spots that could be fixed however do to the originality of the vehicle you might not want to fix it. (See pics)
The undercarriage is also in great shape with no rot or major rust.
Now for the interior: the dash has a small crack and the driver"s side seat has some tears. The headliner is in showroom condition. The gauges all work. Radio sounds good and works fine.
Mechanically: the AC compressor was removed at some point (the owner removed it when it locked up. He didn"t care because he only drove it when it was nice out) but all the other components seem to be there to hook it back up. It runs and sounds amazing. Drives great! ! ! When stopping at low speeds there"s a small shake in the brake pedal ( front rotors will need to be replaced in the next 6-12 months)
Overall: you won"t find another one in the original shape this one is in. It"s a fantastic weekend car to put around in and take to shows. It"s not perfect (showroom)but to me its a perfect example of an original car. I wouldn"t do anything except drive it! !
