Vehicle description

This 1972 DeTomaso Pantera is powered by a 351ci Ford V8 mated to a ZF 5-speed manual transaxle. A color change from the original Medium Green was performed just before I bought it and further alterations include a Holley carburetor and manifold, Mallory distributor, performance headers, a new A/C compressor and receiver/drier, a new radiator with rebuilt fans, and refinished Campagnolo wheels.
Originally finished in Medium Green, the body was repainted in the Ferrari shade of Corsa Red by its previous owner. Vents have been installed in the hood, and a pair of Vitaloni electrically-adjustable mirrors were added.
Braided steel brake hoses have been added, and the brake caliper pistons were recently cleaned, inspected, and re-greased. A set of Ansa exhaust tips have been installed out back.
Inside, a LeCarra four-spoke steering wheel and older Alpine cassette stereo have been added. Chrome-wrapped Veglia instrumentation is retained, and the shifter and gate were replaced with NOS items. The factory A/C remains on an R12 system and was refreshed with a new Sanden compressor, receiver/drier, and hoses. Approximately 43k miles are currently shown, about 3,000 of which were added by me since I bought it in 2014.
The 351ci Ford V8 has been modified with performance headers, a Holley 4160 carburetor and manifold, a Mallory Unilite distributor, new exhaust manifold gaskets and a fuel filter in addition to a cleaning and adjustment of the carburetor and ignition timing. The previous owner has also replaced the radiator and rebuilt the fans.
