1972 Detomaso Pantera, award winning car. I purchased the car Nov. of 2009 and have driven less than 250 mile since then. The car was restored from the ground up in 2007 and has less than 3250 miles on the restoration including the engine and transmission. Before I purchased the car, this Pantera won the People"s choice at the POCA convention in Vegas in 2007 and soon after won 1st place for the interior at the Italiano Concorso in Monterey California. It was featured on Special display at the Italiano Concorso, 2009, winning the Presidential award, presented by Pantera International and was invited to the Palos Verdes Concorso DeElegance. It was selected to be the featured car in an upcoming magazine during that time.
The power is represented by a 392 Cleveland based stroker w/c302 aluminum cylinder heads, hydraulic flat tappet cam with Comp Cams valve train. The engine has a Performer dual plane intake and a Holly 750 carb, Ford electronic distributor and MSD 6AL ignition.
The beauty is displayed in the unmolested lines of the car perfectly painted in Torch Red and trimmed with black. The custom designed interior is of the finest quality tan leather with rare red carbon fiber.
Detail is the word, even to the point of hiding the tire valves in the bolt pattern of custom wheels which were powder coated black in the center while leaving the edges polished aluminum.
The car features a push button start, Koni racing suspension. Willwood brakes and a Fluidyne radiator. The exhaust has GTS headers with Mind Train mufflers which are all Jet Hot coated.
