Vehicle description
Vehicle Details 1972 Chevrolet Corvette w/ LT1 Hood - Classic T-Top Corvette Coupe w/ 77,700 Original Miles - Body is Straight and Clean. Car Drives & Shifting Nicely - Electric Fan keeps Engine Temp Perfect - Car Sounds Amazing - Many New Suspension Parts - Interior is in good condition (one very small puncture hole in driver's seat - hardly noticeable) - Exterior paint is good (has the normal dings, small scratches w/ a few slightly faded spots on the hood - no bubbling - no rust) - Please don't forget this is a 49 year old car - She's not new. If the bid goes over $ 20,000.00, I will provide the winning bidder with brand new Original Style Seat Covers from Top Flight Automotive. She has been garage kept since 2004 (that is as far back as I know of) - I am the 3rd owner. She starts up every time without fail (she does like a little warm-up time before blast-off) - Headlights work/ operate perfectly - Gauges Work (Clock does not work) - Car gets Thumbs Up and Looks everywhere we go - Car was pictured with written article in Rhode Island's Corvettes Today Book by Raymond Wolf in 2020 - Now for the things I feel need some attention: 1. Drive Side Window Cranks a little hard toward the top (assuming it just needs a slight adjustment) 2. The Emergency Brake Lever/ Emergency Brakes need adjustment (they work, just not perfectly) 3. The Steering wheel is a little misaligned - when the previous owner installed a new ignition switch, he did not realign the steering wheel correctly (again, assume it is just an adjustment). 4. Car runs great, however it needs to be warmed up prior to take-off (as previously mentioned), I feel it may need a Carburetor Choke Adjustment, because it is fine once she warms up (I don't mess w/ Carburetors, I leave that to the professionals). 5. Windshield Wiper Door does get stuck sometimes (I've never driven it in the rain, so it could just need some lubricant). 6. Tires have approximately 50 - 60% more life (they are not new ). 7. Gas Tank is New, however the gas gauges does not appear to be 100% accurate (Sending Unit probably needs to be adjusted) 8. The car has been previously painted in a non-original color (Original Color was Sunfire Yellow - good choice as far as I am concerned). 9. Not the original motor (Not Numbers Matching - does have original close ratio 4 speed transmission). 10. There is a slight oil leak coming from the Oil Pressure Switch/ Pressure Line (never got around to resealing it) 11. The biggest issue = I have to sell the car. The Great: This is an absolutely awesome car - with a lot of get up and go - super fun to drive. Comes with T-Top Case for Storing the T-Tops. I also have some various parts and pieces to give the winning bidder (including a Wall Clock w/ a picture of the car). Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Let me know if you need some additional pictures, I will try my best to accommodate your requests. Being Sold As Is - No Warranties and/ or Guarantees - $ 500.00 Deposit Required within 48 hours of the winning bid (otherwise I will consider it a Non-Sale) - Full payment required prior to letting the car go. Shipping is by the winning bidder/ purchaser (I will assist in any way I can) - Choose your shipping company carefully. Note: This vehicle will be listed locally, so I do reserve the right to cancel the auction at anytime. Good Luck/ Stay Safe/ Happy Bidding Images Download the Motors app
