Vehicle description
1972 Chevy Nova SS clone 383 Stroker - 2007 GM crate motor with 12k miles on it 4 speed close ratio saginaw transmission - less than 1k miles on new tranny Odometer shows 52k
Exterior pretty much fully restored - work done at Chip Magic in Littleton. There is 0 bondo on this car, I was very insistent they do all the work with metal only. Paint is black & blue with tons of blue metallic flakes, also present in the white stripes. They did a wonderful job building it as an SS clone as well - besides the non-SS hood you cannot tell it"s a clone. All new chrome, bumpers, & badging were added at that time as well.
I do have the chrome trim for the outside windows, I was going to have the chrome restored before re-installing it - it"s in the trunk (in good physical shape) and included with the sale. Dual flowmaster 44s with chrome tips, sounds awesome (loud). Brand new Holley electric fuel pump. Edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor with electric/auto choke only 3 years & 3k miles on it. Drum brakes all around in good condition, stops great. I installed a coolant reservoir and oversized cooling fan. Fun & fast car but someone with a better skill set could probably get even more out of it. . even so, she"ll burn rubber in the first 2 gears easy. It"s been reliable, I"ve taken it all the way to Arvada (90 min each way) for car shows on multiple occasions. It"s a beautiful car, I don"t take it anywhere without getting compliments & "thumbs ups".
Interior has some upgrades - I had seats from a Chrysler town & country installed which are way more comfortable than the bench it had. I actually have the matching center console that was just about an inch too wide, but someone more crafty could probably get it. It"s in the trunk & included. The driver side has a custom seatbelt installation, the passenger side still needs one (you can buy the seatbelt from Chrysler in Dallas). It does have the Chevy seatbelts but not compatible with the Chrysler seats. The rear original bench is in good shape besides the top which needs to be stitched back together, otherwise excellent condition compared to most others from this period. Has all the aftermarket gauges to fit the upgraded motor. All original gauges still work too. Front dash cracked but still in general good shape as well.
Wheels & tires less than 3k miles on them - sparkling clean & tires still have nipples. The trunk is the only place on this car that does have minimal rust - it"s only present on the floor of the trunk (sides & wheel wells are clean). This car was actually purchased at Burt Chevy (now John Elway) so it"s been in Colorado its whole life (I have the Burt Chevy metal badge even). . I got it from the original owner"s son. Believe it was originally a 307 3 speed.
Selling because I am starting a family and this isn"t exactly a family car. . I used it far more often when I was single. No scams, no calls for help selling it
