Vehicle description
1972 Buick Stage 1 restoration project. Real V code .
Complete car with good frame and floors. Trunk has some rust but only in spots and heavy surface in center.
Quarter skins have been installed years ago but not the best job and are solid but not lined up the best and need reworked. Could be reworked . Body needs restored for show car.
Interior appears to have been redone at some point. Car could be driven with some repairs to engine and gone over. Front end is in good shape but could use upper control arm bushings.
Typical core support issues that most Buick has. Will need repair or replaced with new. Though could still be used. New battery and starter installed.
Brakes are good and the car will run enough to load on carrier. Engine has noise in bottom end. All lights work. Factory tach and rally gauges some are not working and unhooked at the engine . I can not find any codes on the block anywhere. It is a 72-76 casting number. Heads have right casting number 1238148 for 1972 but unsure as if they are original stage 1 with out tearing off. B4B aluminum intake and a 1973 carb.
Original Artic white car upper and lower car with black interior. I located missing air cleaner and hood seal plates that go with the sale. No major items or hard to find items missing with those editions.
Trans is not original. Has a Turbo 400 appears clean so may have been rebuilt at some time. Does seem to move with now issues.
I have a 1972 Buick 8.5 correct casting number and LK code rear that goes with the car. Differential is a 8.2 with posi tag code AE P0090. So not original and will need to be replaced. I have a 1972 Buick 8.5 correct casting number and LK code rear that goes with the car.
The rest of the car can be seen in the pictures and video. I have listed the car in hopes to get to a Buick person. I don"t have the time to restore the car right now . However I am not pressed to sell the car and have a place to store it. Being a real stage 1 the car deserves the right attention.
The car is not registered with the stage 1 registry . Inquired and it can be done. There are only a few 1972 cars registered on the site. Also new buyer can obtain the Sloan documents for the car if they so chose. I plan on doing that if the car is not sold. That way the buyer can put it in his name verses mine.
Feel free to contact me with questions. I have the right to end this auction at anytime to offers and serious interest.
