Up for a NO RESERVE auction 1971 VW Dune Buggy with 723 Original Miles
Title is Reconstructed, not salvaged not wrecked. It was because the body was removed is not giving me an option for title status
This buggy was recent found in a shop ,sitting since 1974. Last PA inspection was 74" with 650 miles It has been in dry storage ever since
Body is all fiberglass made by Joe Potty Sandrover Company Its in excellent shape with no cracks or damage
Its sitting on a 71 VW chassis , the floor is solid with no rust issues Engine has new fuel line, distributor, spark plugs, wires, regulator box and coil
Engine runs good, could use fine tuning but does fire up and run with no smoke Transmission shifts good , clutch is tight. 4 speed manual
The brakes are currently working but the rears are sticking
Tires are original to the time period with no cracking or dry rot anywhere
What the car needs to be 100% -New brake drums and shoes (they are old) -Rear brake cylinders as they are sticking -New wheels, they are all mismatched (chevy 5x4.75 bolt pattern) -Good cleaning of the interior -Good cleaning of the chrome
Car does have an R title , it was issued because of the fiberglass custom body years ago
Yes the mileage is 100% original 723 total Speedometer and odometer both currently work
Soft top is in excellent shape, same with the side windows that are removable
This would be an awesome cruiser with alittle TLC
