1971 Volkswagen Super Beetle, 79,573 miles, Ruby Red/Black, 4 speed manual transmission. An L model with a dual map pockets, dual ashtrays, rubber trim on bumpers and a vanity mirror on the passenger sun visor. A unique one of a kind, fully sorted, high quality driver. Original VW in all aspects including motor and gearbox - AE code 1600cc dual port engine with high (7.5 to 1) compression - only available in 1971 producing 60 hp, original 34 PICT 3 carburetor and vacuum system. Older driver quality restoration with engine, gearbox and drive train in perfect condition.
At 76,662 miles - new German standard bearings on crank and connecting rods, NOS West German Goetze piston rings, cylinder heads re-done (valves cut and adjusted), oil control valves and springs, engine and gearbox re-sealed, gearbox oil, engine rubber seal, shifter bushing. Also done in the last 6k miles - shocks (front and rear), polyurethane sway bar and control arm bushings, steering shock and upgraded brass bushing, brake master cylinder and fluid, tires, alignment, bosch battery, spark plugs, points, distributor cap and rotor, new rear bearings, front wheel bearings re-packed, thermostat.
