1971 VW Super Beetle with 1600cc motor. Car has been kept in my garage for the last 6 months while I have worked to restore it. Starts up every time and runs great. I don"t have time to continue to restore it so I am looking to get the space back in my garage. Recently sanded and prepped for new paint with a fresh coat of primer applied. Car was originally Marina Blue (L54D). Floor pans have no rust and were recently repainted. No rust on the body. Some bondo work was done by a previous owner on the front of the heater channels. No rust under the battery and the floor pans are solid and in good shape.
Car has lots of new parts: - New tires with less than 20 miles on them - New 2 Tip GT Exhaust System, Black with Chrome Tips - New Chrome Side Molding Kit - New EMPI 3" Tall Medium Profile, High Flow Air Cleaner - New Heater hoses (fan shroud to heater box) - New fender beading Included with the car comes extra parts: - New front windshield - Adjustable Lowering Strut Housings (to adjust front height) - 2 EMPI Super Beetle Struts (front) - EMPI Chrome Sump Plate w/ Magnetic Drain Plug - Oil Strainer Screen - Oil Change Gasket Kit - Extra side molding clips Clean title in my name ready to sign over.
What I think it needs next to complete the restoration: - New paint - Interior carpet - Radio - Shifter, reverse lockout nut, bushings (it shifts now and stays in gear but sometimes can ben tricky) - Brake shoes (it stops fine now when I drive it, but I have not done any brake work since I"ve owned it)
