About this vehicle This 1971 Volvo 144 S is an original with updates to the exterior. The owner has had it for 1 year. The vehicle is drivable and is used as a daily driver. Hard to fathom for some younger folks I know. Vehicle Details Modification: Bumpers have been modified to make them more streamline looking. Cross bumpers have been removed and rubber has been removed. Front seats are not original. Wooden Roof rack added. Exterior Great car. Gets lots of looks and generates lots of interest when I drive it. Easily restored from its current good condition. * Runs, drives, shifts, as it should. * Four speed stick shift. Driven regularly on around- town errands. * Starts right up. * Has a long list of new parts and replacement items (tune-up, brakes, tires, hoses, alternator rebuilt, new gas tank, steering bushings, and more). * Car comes with receipts covering 40 years of maintenance. The car was wearhoused for around 25 years of that span. * Has dual SU carburetors with one rebuilt and one needing to be rebuilt. It will run better, smoother, faster if thats done. * Has a shallow dent on drivers door. Very unnoticeable but likely easily pulled. Doesn’t affect opening of door. * Needs one rear shock Paint is fine-not great not terrible. * Car comes with two repair manuals, a carburetor balancing tool, extra keys, and a new turn signal arm ($100 after market new). * * Be aware: I have a personal Reserve that needs to be met. Interior Interior has normal wear and rates above average for a car of this age. Headliner and dash are Good with no rips or cracks. Carpet is good. Front seats have been replaced with good fitting bucket seats and new covers. Back seat is original with vinyl edging needing to be redone but upholstery on seat and back surface is good.
