Vehicle description

About this vehicle This 1971 Volkswagen Type 3 is a restored vehicle. The owner has had it for 5+ years. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for car shows. Seller"s Notes I can see you more photos and videos if the car up on request Vehicle Details Hi, This is a very practical compact automobile; seats 5 and room to carry stuff. My problem is at 85 years old it's become difficult for me to get in & out. When I bought it back yearly this year from the time I owned in 1992 and sold it 2006 I was 70 which was great back then. I took it to my friend Brad Gene's Auto body to have rust spots removed Its a good 90%on the most needed areas. The wider rims & smaller steering wheel makes a little stiffer in steering. The tires could be replaced in the near future. the door locks need to be worked on. It runs well for a fifty year old and in very good shape. I hope whoever buys would enjoy it as I did in the past. Thank you for your consideration on purchasing the Green machine. Ernie Why the salvage title : I bought the in 1992 and in 1995 we a rain storm that overflowed the Carmel River and water came into the Crossroads Center parking lot were the VW was parked. I made the mistake of opening the door and the water came into it and covered floor carpets and closed the door. If I hadn't open the door; VW are very sealed from let water into it. The Insurance Co. tagged all the cars as damaged and paid me off and I should not excepted payment is what created the salvage title. I bought the car back and had the carpeting redone and the car, it was the only thing was damaged has been fine the last 26 years. When I sold the car in 2006 with all the paper work. My friend who knew the owner and asked him for it and he told him that he was disorganized and couldn't find it and my friend bought it. He called and said I think I have your old and I bought it. I hope this gives the buyer some idea about the history of this VW. That's the long short of it.
