About this vehicle This 1971 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia is an original. The owner has had it for 5+ years. The vehicle needs work. Seller"s Notes You are bidding on a dark blue vintage 1971 VW Karmann Ghia Convertible. This convertible was in working order when last driven and parked, but has remained covered and stored privately for some time with the intention of beginning a full restoration.
The new owner would be advised to move the car to your location and examine, prep and lube before attempting to start the car.
There is no structurally significant rust on the body. Seats look original and are intact and faded. Interior panels are intact, but warped in places over time. Edges of the dash are deeply faded.
There is surface rust on the chrome hubcaps and bumper and some cracks in the dark blue paint. Tires held air when we recently moved the car to a new location. Note that true mileage is unknown and the listing simply includes an estimate. The car will need a new convertible top and mechanism and will come with bill of sale and clean title in the previous owner"s name.
Please keep in mind that this is a 50 year old vintage car that has been sitting stored for some time and any part may have aged out while the car was in stored although nothing is obvious on a visual inspection.
