“This Eagle Gt is in great condition with absolutely no rust. Mechanically, mostly everything has been rebuilt. The paint shines and presents beautifully and the body is extremely straight, however, there are various chips and scratches. There are also two minor spots in the fiberglass that have minimal damage. This car gets attention!” |

Vehicle description
For sale is my 1971 Eagle Gt. The Eagle Gt is a car that was built in semblance of the (Ferrari) Dino GTS in the 80"s. The cars were produced in very limited numbers because Ferrari believed that they were too similar to the Dino. There were probably only around a dozen or so produced and even fewer still surviving. This particular Eagle Gt is the final and most fully developed model and the only one known to exist. The body is developed more fully and includes a one-piece deck lid and a functional bonnet. The fiberglass is very well built with exceptional thickness and uniformity. The fiberglass body is built upon a 1971 Porsche 914 sub-frame which has been reinforced. The original vin numbers are still intact, and the car retains a clean Porsche 914 title. The 914 chassis enables the car to have a very stiff and "car-like" platform, unlike many replicas. This car has many special features that of which include: - A Subaru EG33 Flat six that was fully rebuilt. The engine includes: -ecutune camshafts -ram cold air intake which functions through the passenger side vent -320 stainless tubular headers -320 stainless exhaust and twinloop mufflers with dual tips. -solid engine mounts -obdii ecu which has been modified as a standalone ecu -an in-tank fuel pump -The transaxle is a 5-speed unit from a Subaru Legacy Gt with the center diff locked to the front. The axles are sway-a-way pieces splined for the Subaru transaxle and the 911 hubs. The clutch is hydraulically operated. A custom adjustable cable shifter setup enables the shifts. -A custom tubular sub-frame holds the engine and transaxle in place and enables easy maintenance. -The brakes and suspension components are from a 70’s 911. The front rotors are vented and slotted. -An aluminum radiator has been installed up front with custom shrouding and dual electric fans. -Three piece alloy racing wheels The interior is in very good condition with a custom sueded dash, electric gauges, and a cd player with Bluetooth and a handsfree mic. Overall, this car is in great condition with a few cosmetic blemishes. There are a few things that need attention, however it is a drivable car as is, and a very, very fun one at that! I have Lexan light covers that need fitment. I should have the front grill somewhere which needs installation. I have an adapter for an engine oil cooler which will enable the oil pressure gauge to function. Please look at the pictures as they say more than words.
