Purchased in 1993. 2.2L engine had overheated #2 rod bearing. All engine parts appear in good condition except burned #2 rod and #2 crankshaft journal. The case looks good with no signs of damage. Zenith carbs. All serial #"s on engine block and transmission correlate with 1971 911T Targa US model with optional 5 speed manual transmission (engine #6117110, 911/07) trans #7118528, 911/01). Engine was dismantled and all parts boxed and included. Car was painted red at some point but original color code is 8810 (Gold metallic for Targa). All body panels are in good to very good condition (no major rust). Paint bubbling in several spots on the body and spots on lower outer doors. The bottom of the doors and rockers are in good shape. Targa top and interior is good to very good for its age. Wheels are 15x6 American Eagle Wheels. All glass is in good condition. Floor pans appear to be original and solid (not rusted through). Passenger side rear channel section under rear torsion cover is rusted through (see picture. This is an area of channel that connects to rear of floor pan). Drivers side rear torsion area is not rusted. Crossmember in front of gas tank underneath where tow hook is located is thin. No rust in or around battery boxes. Odometer reads 81,084. Car needs restoration and all components will need to be gone through. Sold "AS IS". This is a PROJECT and will need to be put back together. Car does roll.
