Vehicle description

1971 Plymouth Fury lll Retired / Decommissioned THP This was the very first Decommissioned Tennessee Highway Patrol car in the state, that was given to the Lieutenant who drove it, at his retirement in 1975, after 25 years of service to the THP 1950-1975 , Lt B.J. Eldridge. This was a District 6 car, Which was a smaller district so they ordered their cars a couple at a time from a local Plymouth dealer, equipped as needed and prepped for service by their own motor pool dept. Not from the larger districts such as Memphis or Nashville, that would get direct from the factory with a few of the police package 440 , because of their highway needs. This is a Big block 383 2 barrel, aprox 275HP (5 th digit L code) and has 52,000 miles. Runs like a raped ape down the road at 70 ez, No over heating, even in this 95 degree Georgia heat, Straight, no accidents , Clean and comfortable , Little more cushy as it was a lieutenants car, 4 door (think they all were after 1969, but not positive) Complete separator cage for this model, Factory fit, allows for room for the Big Officers to go all the way back. Siren (loud), Top blue revolving gumball, Blue alternating Highbeams, Drivers Spotlight all work as they should, AM refurbished, but not hooked up for looks, Motorola radio w/ Phone style headset (Lt’s car) work, but can’t send as the brain unit in trunk has been removed at retirement which is normal which any car leaves the force. Has new brakes all around * Pads, Drums (Police/Taxi), Cylinders. New tires New Fuel tank and sender Resent Dual Exhaust. (solid deep business sound/tone) Brake Master Cylinder All chrome good to very good, interior clean, no rips, all interior light work and do the all the gauges (replaced two new fuel gauges, both ¼ tank off, after researching with some west coast Mopar friends, this is common. All glass excellent , winders etc. Included in sale N.O.S Stock Carter Carburetor, new in Orig box, carb wrapped) Rear Hi-Jacker air shocks (wanted to make ride a little stiffer. Front KYB Gas shocks Extra NOS Fuel gauge (as mentioned above) AC has a new / rebuilt compressor, just was not converted to new Freon type. Has attended a few shows, but not as many because of this virus thing, Cruses to honor fallen officers and solders. Light and whistles always entertain , Kid go wild sitting in it and hitting the buttons. Selling? Why. Bought the wife and I a motorhome, I have a hotrod vintage truck, not enough room for all inside shop, This is not they type of toy / car you should leave outside covered. This is not a clone or Clown car. Mom’s basement boys, internet experts move on, keep it to your self. I’ve been on Ebay since 1989, 31 years NO neg feedback, Not one, not any play nice , everyone gets a trophy type feedbacks. NONE , no plans to change that. Over those 30 years, I’ve sold Movie car, Hot rods, Show car and Classic acros the country and across the oceans. All Positive transaction, yea I’ve bought some turds. Took this in on trade, have had a ton of fun with it, a lot from retired officers that make me smile, their stories of theirs patrol car, or these up in Tennessee, always dig it, always have to the time. Might consider ending early, don’t like to. Trade? I need the room, but I do have a soft spot fo pre-61 caddy’s and pre 1950 trucks and wagons. But NO, no trade (maybe) Deposit via Paypal within 24 end of Auction, Can help with your shipper, unless your driving it home. (no worry’s) Bank cashers check clean and cleared, before anything is collected (leaves). Any questions, Contact me first. Fury sold where is, as is condition, no other promises made. Fury is Licensed/Registered/Titled in the state of Georgia , Signed Title and Bill of sale supplied. Fury is insured via Hagerty Classic car, 18,000. Agreed value. This is a NO reserve auction, Bid to win, Bid to Pay, Not a game. If you have a lot of Neg feedback, please do not bid, I will cancel it.
