vintage 1971 opel gt, i have owned this car for over 20 yrs, before that my grandfather owned it for nearly 20 yrs, it has been garage kept the entire time and never seen illinois road salt! i mainly had driven / drove it on weekends in the summer as a around town " grocery getter". its time to move onto other things as i have a 2 yr old son now. the car will come with a nos set of control arm bushings and 3 different opel clymer/chilton manuals. i recently did some work on the weber 32 36 carb and shes running good. its a very solid car and as anyone whos ever owned a gt knows. . a heavy little sob ! the car does have a few minor dings and dents as pictured and has some very minor rusting as pictured in the usual gt spots ( antenna assembly. jacking point) both pictured interior is original with only minor wear on drivers seat as pictured which is actually not a tear but loose threading. tires should be replace as the sidewalls are starting to crack. i put new shocks on it about 15 yrs ago and frankly theyre about brand new. even when i was driving this " often" i maybe put 300 miles on it yearly and probaly more like 150 miles.as anyone who knows vintage cars will understand, she runs great,solid car, but i wouldnt go taking it on a cross country road trip without checking hoses , tune up etc. this is a great platform for someone who wants a solid base to do a minimal restoration project. it is being sold as is . payment is due within 3 days of auction end and this is a local pick up only
