Vehicle description
1971 Mercury Cougar XR7 Convertible. Blue with white top and interior. 351 cid V8 Cleveland 2v. Original everything. Matching numbers. Power windows, power top, disc brakes, power windows, power steering, am radio. Incredibly it has virtually no rust apart from a little surface on very few areas. Interior is great although there is cracking. Original paint from 1971 so it’s not perfect. Although I don’t want to change it. I am the 3rd owner. I bought it from a pilot gentleman who has owned it since 1973. He bought it from a rich friend of his in river oaks in Houston. It’s been a Houston car it’s entire life. Martin Report available. All matching numbers, 351 Cleveland, automatic, air conditioning. It an absolutely awesome car. Just did a 120 mile round trip at 80mph most of the way and it didn’t skip a beat. This is a running and driving car. Freshly detailed, oil changed and coolant replaced. Has convertible cover, car cover. All lights work. Radio works. One of the best survivor cars I’ve ever seen. Drive it home. It has an amazing documented history, user manuals. Spare tire. Rare car. Make an offer
