I’ve had this car for over 20 years and have only driven it occasionally over that time. I’d say once a month just to keep it fresh. It’s stored indoors when not out for the occasional drive. The car has been repainted with its original color solid green and the chrome was repolished. Lights, lenses, and emblems are all in great shape. The engine is original to the car and well tuned and maintained and runs well once warmed. It’s the less desirable Zenith carburetor straight six as opposed to the larger fuel injected V8 found in the SL. The odometer works and reads 83024 but I have no idea if this is accurate. The interior seats, headliner, carpets and door cards where all reupholstered as close to original as possible and look great. Tires and brakes have plenty of life left. This car starts, stops, runs and drives well. At fifty years old I’m not sure I’d take it on a long trip but it’s great around town and with all the chrome it gets attention. Although this car is in quite nice shape for its age there are a few things that need attention. The rear muffler will need replacement soon. The radio is original but doesn’t work. The blue and red temperature control levers are broken. The wooden dash could use a refinish. The automatic transmission slips a tiny bit when cold. I do mean a tiny bit. I’m certain I’m missing something but all in all the car is quite nice and the pictures are pretty accurate as to it’s condition. Great Sunday car. That said it is 50 years old and no warranty is expressed or implied. I tried to run a car fax but no checks recognize a 14 digit VIN. Mercedes actually calls it a serial number. Please please ask questions if you have them. Exterior Interior Engine Download the Motors app
