Vehicle description
The Jensen Interceptor III, with body styled by Vignale, can best be described as a sports touring car with seating for four, and trunk space to match. Safety, comfort and good performance with reliability are the major factors behind the entire concept.
With Italian designed coach work, traditional English workmanship and American power, the Interceptor was built in West Bromwich, England. The all steel body is gas and CO2 arc-welded to the chassis for maximum strength and rigidity. The strength of the Interceptor is attested to by its weight of 3,550 lbs.
Luxury and attention to detail were the keynotes to the Jensen interior. Connolly English leather and Wilton carpets were used in the interior. It has a host of items including Power-Steering, Air Conditioning, Electric Windows, Electric Antenna, and Electrically operated fuel filler flap. In addition, the Interceptor has a radio with four speakers and an 8-track stereo. Lots of 8 track tapes will be included.
There were only 18 Jensen"s produced a week. This is a low figure but their standards were high. Each car was in the hands of their craftsmen for 10 weeks. It, obviously, cost a lot of money to make a car this way but by the same token you got a of car for your investment. It has been a joy to own but now must go because I have too many cars (according to my husband and having no space to keep them!)
It has more that 10000 miles and I can"t tell you how many but I can tell you that is runs just great. And I don"t know why that G80 is in the listing title but that is what comes up with eBay.
