Vehicle description

This auction is for my 1971 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible project. It’s the first year for the Eldorado convertible in this generation (1971-1976). Lifelong Tucson, Arizona car which has been stored (indoors) for the last 15 years. It has 43K miles. Restoration was started, but stopped about four years ago in order to complete other projects. The car still runs/drives well, but still needs some work to make it a daily driver. The suspension, fuel, and brake systems were all completely serviced including dropping/cleaning the tank, cleaning out the fuel lines, rebuilding the carburetor, replacing the fuel pump, and tuning it up. It has all new brakes including calipers/pads, and a system flush. The shocks/tires (and all of the above mentioned) are four years old with no mileage.
The body is straight, with no accident damage. It was painted, and wet sanded, but that’s where the project stopped. It will probably need to be painted again to be show quality. The rear floor section will either need to be patched, or replaced (common issue for convertibles). The scissor top is four years old, and still in good condition. It goes up/down without any issues, but needs a new back glass. The seats and lower door panels are new. It still needs upper door panels, interior rear seat quarter panels, kick panels, sun visors, and dash pad redone. I have a new black carpet kit still in the box, door sill plates, floor mats, and all new weather stripping for the car. Other items the car needs are new upper door hinges, passenger rear tail light trim, the transmission linkage still needs to be adjusted, and a couple of trim pieces need to be replaced (passenger front bumper guard, passenger door spear, and driver scallop). I’m also still looking for the original stereo.
The car is 50 years old but still very solid, and priced accordingly. No rust in the frame, (front) floors, doors, rockers, fenders, trunk, and only a slight bit was found in the lower quarters, and repaired. The underside could use a good detailing. It’s a solid start to being a really nice car. Most of the difficult work has been done, I just don’t have the time to take it to the next level.
Please look at all the images, and email me with any questions. The Arizona title is clear. A $500.00 non-refundable deposit is required within 24 hours. The remaining balance to be paid in full within 7 calendar days. Payment can be either cash, certified check, or PayPal (for international bidders, PayPal is the only form of payment accepted). No wire transfers, or money orders accepted. Pickup/shipping: The car runs/drives, and could easily be driven on to a transport. Buyer to arrange pickup or shipping. The car is located near Tucson, AZ. 85653. As always, thanks for looking.
