Vehicle description
Long Time Collector Liquidating Collection
1971 Buick GS 455 Convertible One of 165 1971 Buick GS 455 Convertibles Made! Purchased from the original owner! Fully Documented 94,000 Original Miles Engine appears to never have been out! Valve Job about 10k miles ago Factory N25 Rear Bumper Factory Rally Gauge Car
I purchased this car quite some time ago from the original owners son, a overall wearing farmer that looked like Santa! His father bought the car new, drove it regularly from 1971 to 1976, and the car went into storage in 1977 or so. The car was never left sitting, periodically started by the son and driven around the block here and there and kept registered until 1999.
The car is very original and has some pretty nice options. Obviously a genuine GS (43467 VIN) but 71 was a odd year, Sloan does not document 71 Buicks, the VIN just tells you it was a GS, not if it was a GS 350 or 455. The great thing about this car is it is fully documented with a POP, various other sales information, and obviously the motor has never been monkeyed with.
The car honestly runs and drives great with loads of power, the trans shifts great, the car starts easily, has a 70 Stage 1 cam installed at the time of valve job, a HEI distributor (have original)and really is mechanically 100%
The car is super dry, with excellent floors and trunk, drop offs, 1/4"s are bondo free, nice fenders, ect. The car was stripped and repainted in the mid 80"s from sun bake, it"s the original color and still actually shows really well. Aside from that and the convertible top and wheels, the car is as it rolled off the showroom floor.
The interior including the carpet is original, never looked for a build sheet, not needed, car is documented. I am not sure what someone did with the top halves of the front door panels, you can decide for yourself, some type of morphology, mixed with a bit of 1979 ingenuity. .but those front door panels need to go. .
It"s a really neat car that is completely useable as-is, or a few bucks can be spent putting some wheels on the car, detailing the engine compartment, crack in the grill, ect.
It"s a real deal 71 GS 455 Convertible, unrestored. .find me another. .they made 165 of these. .is this car perfect? No! Will it win any best of show awards? No. Is it a honest driver quality original car? Yes!
Make me a honest offer on a honest car!

I have the car for sale on other sites and venues. I have sold about 10 of my collector cars on eBay, 6 of them sold outright before the auction ended. .dont wait, just call. It seems everyone wants one of my cars 2 hours after it is sold.
I have some excellent shippers I have used in the past and would be happy to assist with shipping.
I"m a handshake kind of guy. .but in this day and age I gotta put some fine print in!
This car is being sold as-is, where is for whole or for parts. No set aside will be made upon any defect or incorrectness therewith. Description is for identification purposes only and it is up to the buyer to have inspected this vehicle to his or her satisfaction and bid/buy on that judgement alone.
