“1971 Buick GS 455 4 SpeedEverything is factory spec other than the paint and grill. It was originally the bronze color with black vinyl top.Paint has wear and tear and the lugs are still there for the vinyl top trim which is in the trunk.Grill is from a 72Missing the a/c components on engine side of firewall. still has blower motor.Missing the radio and glove compartment insert.Missing linkage thats turns on reverse lights.Missing shifter boot.Engine bottom end needs overhaul.Minor grounding issues with rear bumper lights.Literally everything else has been replaced/renewed motor mounts, body mounts, entire suspension, trans is brand new m22. New fly wheel, clutch, driveshaft. rear end overhaul. all 4 wheel bearings/seals. New seat foam all around with updated white oem vinyl.” |

The Good-
Car is in very good shape. It had repairs in the past, which made it a non numbers matching car, it is 455 base model/ non stage 1. If its not in the details below then its good to go.
-Paint has basic wear and tear. -Suspension is brand new. Springs, bushings, bearings, ball joints and body mounts. -Rear end has new bearings. it is 3.42 open diff. -Trans has been rebuilt less than 100 miles -Heads have been rebuilt by a machine shop, new valves, guides, seals and surface, around 250 miles so far. -New clutch and billet flywheel same time as transmission. -New interior vinyl that matches trim tag. -New seat foam all around. -New Walnut steering wheel. -New 2.25" dual flow master delta 50s ran to to the rear bumper. . sounds perfect. -Rebuilt points-type ignition system. -No rust
The Bad/Questionable- -Block is a 72, heads and intake are 71, carb is 72 rebuilt for 71. Trans is a 73 " shelf/dealer replacement" M22 with upgraded auto gear tail housing. Radiator is a salvage from an Automatic trans set up. -Radio is missing -A/C components on engine side of firewall are missing. Compressor brackets are there. -Intermittent grounding issues with rear light harness/gauge lights. -Crack on dash pad. -Timing chain recently developed 14 degrees of slop. So it runs but like SH* at anything but idle. -Rocker arms/shafts are worn out and should be replaced. -Studs are still there for original black vinyl top. trim is in the trunk. -Pass rear quarter panel is a replacement.
