Vehicle description
1971 Buick GS 455 4speed.
Trim tag states: 71-43437 (71, Gs) Z 01xxx(cali car) Tr 165 b30(white vinyl int) 62B ( bittersweet mist w/black vinyl top) Vin: 4 3437 1Z126829 Build sheet missing. Passenger rear quarter panel not original.
Texas title (clean) and plates.
1971 Factory service manual included with original box. This car is 1 of 358 with a 350 4 speed combo. However when i came across it, it only had a 455 and TH400 combo. The 455 block is a 72 with 71 heads and intake, carb is 72 reman’d to 71 specs. Im guessing the 3speed auto is a 72 as well. There is a muncie m22 rock crusher in the trunk about 80% complete with new parts and date matching main case. Clutch pedal is still attached under dash with original safety start switch. All suspension parts have been rebuilt/upgraded. New tires on 14” front wheels and 15” rear. All original factory wheels. All interior vinyl is new. All electrical works. Studs for vinyl top trim still exist, original trim is included. Its been a project of mine for the past two years and I think I am ready to sale. Most of the intensive tasks have been complete but only small things remain to bring it all together. When i first came across the car it was in rough shape and now its street legal and i take it out every Friday if the weather is nice. 3” Cherry bomb vortex mufflers. Runs and drives great.
