Vehicle description
I am reducing my too large car collection and selling off all the cars I do not drive regularly. Don"t bother asking what else we have - anything we wish to sell will be posted on Ebay. I love looking at this car but I rarely take it out and it is just taking up space.
This is an original, unrestored, rust free 1971 AMC Ambassador 3 row seat station wagon, from NC and now living in Florida. There is no rust other than surface rust on the underside as you would expect with any 50 year old car. I have the original window sticker , original title, some NC State inspections from the 1980"s an original dealer post card and brochures but that is all the paperwork that was given to me by the Estate.
This is an original unrestored car that has only had required maintenance and wear items replaced ( tires, brakes, tune ups, fluids, hoses, etc ) . All I have done over the time I have owned it is a full tune up; change of all the fluids; replaced hoses and battery.
It starts right up and runs great with no smoking, dripping or leaking. A fun car to take for drives. Everything is currently working just fine on it except for the a/c. There is a new compressor but it needs new a/c hoses and I just have not bothered to look for them.
The car has the 360 V8, Auto Transmission, Power Steering, Power Brakes, A/C, 3rd row seat, Power Tailgate, Tinted Glass, Roof Rack. Dark green interior and light metallic green exterior. The Ambassador wagons this year came with every option that AMC offered from what I read in the brochure.
The paint is original and shiny, but it is obviously not a newly painted car. The trim is all good as is the glass and lenses etc. There is a dent on the passenger side rear door and one trim piece is dented, but I have a replacement NOS trim piece that goes with the car.
As it is a 50 year old used car it is sold as is, where is, with no warranties. The car has a clear Florida Title in my name. I will update the mileage when I am in front of the car but Florida does not put mileage on antique car titles and it is titled as " Exempt "
Car is priced based on it"s current Hagerty and NADA and Old Cars Report values - absolutely NOTHING wanted in trade ( we have 30 cars and that is plenty )
