Vehicle description
1970 Willys Jeep Jeepster
Up for sate is an original 1970 Willys Jeepster Station Wagon, in non running condition, started as a frame up restoration and, unfortunately, I now have too many other projects going on and this one has to go.
I have all the original parts, they are all labeled and in containers (see photo). The Jeepster came with the majority of the original parts, some of them are quite scarce and I have kept them all in case they might be needed. This includes all the original Jeepster badges, wheel covers, windshield visors and all the glass is intact. I also have service manuals to go with this (DVD and an older hard copy).
I have all the doors, window glass and internal mechanisms, along with the rear lift gate and tail gate. The lift gate does have the glass, it was removed for safe keeping. The top is removable and I just put it back on. All the the gaskets for the tops and doors would need to be replaced. I also have the original seats, they are in very bad shape but the frames are still there if needed.
The engine is the Buick Dauntless V6 225ci, it turns but I have not had this running in a few years. The wiring was falling apart, so I bought a new Painless wiring harness and that will be included with the car. I still have the old harness if there are any problems. I have the engine manifolds and exhaust as well.
The frame is straight, it only had surface rust so I wire brushed it off and painted all of it with Rust-Oleum Farm & Implement .The gas tank is the original steel, I refurbished it using the P.O.R Fuel Tank Repair Kit and it came out great .No rust on the frame, but there is some body rust, on the rear floor panel and on the under body. There has been some welding repair done on the body prior to my buying it, done fairly well, but still some more to be done . When I had the body off, I flipped it, wire brushed the bottom and sprayed it with primer and that is where it is at now.
Details: Buick V6 225ci Dana 30 rear axle Dana 27AF front axle Borg Warner T-14a Manual Transmission Dana Model 20 transfer case
Other things that has been done - rebuilt transfer case (800$) - new rear leaf springs (200$) - new alternator - new coil - new front/rear Rancho Shocks - new rear brakes - rebuilt radiator
I have a lot more photos, both before, during and afterwards so if you need any more details, please let me know
This is a great machine, a real classic and will be lots of fun offroading.
Vehicle is sold AS-IS Payment is due in full upon close of auction, Cashiers Check, Cash
As noted, this vehicle is not running, so a trailer will be needed. I am not opposed to shipping this if the buyer pays all cost, I will help at my end
Thanks for looking
