Vehicle description
Up for sale is a 1970 TR6. It is in good condition throughout. The car was painted in 1999 and is a 5-6 out of 10. The interior was replaced in 1999 as well. Leather seats, carpet, top. The engine was rebuilt by Greg’s Auto Machine, king’s mountain NC in 1999. The car has only been driven 3600 miles since 1999 and kept in a climate controlled garage. This TR6 was originally white, then someone painted it green, and now metallic blue. There is no bad rust. The drivers floor pan has a rust hole at the rear about 2.5†in diameter. The rockers are solid as well as the trunk. The chassis has no rust. All in all it is a solid driver. This is my uncle’s car and I have been driving it for five months weekly and have had no problems with reliability. All the lights work, the turn signals work (new turn signal stalk), brake lights all work, hazards work. I installed a new fuel pump and filter last month. The twin Weber’s were installed in 2006. Car has only had ethanol free fuel run in it. Crane cam ignition system. New alternator. New Battery. The car’s body isn’t perfect, with a few dents and dings in it, mostly from sitting in the garage. The engine is SOLID! And runs smooth and very strong. I did have to replace the exhaust/intake manifold gasket and the down pipe for the exhaust due to an exhaust leak. The new down pipe is stainless steel. If you’re looking for a mechanically sound project, this is it. It can be driven as is or cosmetically restored. Note: The speedometer and Tachometer both bounce and need to be rebuilt. The other engine gauges work. The heater motor squeals when you turn it on so it needs lube or a new motor. The radio doesn’t work and is the one installed in 1999. Everything else functions as it should.
