Vehicle description
This was the information given to me when I bought the car in 2001:
This is one of the few GTOs built in Oshawa, Canada. This car has eyebrow stripes and is painted Orbit Orange, but it is NOT a Judge. The car was originally Pepper Green and equipped with a L75 455, but now has a high-performance 400. It uses a high-nickel content 1973 block, bored .040 over with forged TRW pistons and ARP rod bolts. The Ram Air heads have had some slight massaging done on them to enhance flow. there"s an Edelbrock aluminum intake on the car and headers. The motor is balanced. When I bought it, most everything on the car was new or rebuilt: distributor, Q-jet carb, battery, gas tank, suspension bushings, brakes, new 3" aluminized pipes with 2.5" tail pipes and new exhaust splitters. New headlamp bezels and grills etc. P-245-60-15 BF Goodrich Radial T/As on freshly painted Rally IIs. There"s a new Lakewoood scattershield and recent clutch. the numbers matching M-21 and 12-bolt posi have been gone through and rebuilt. The hood tach and wing are original to the car. The hood tach has also been refurbished. there is a Ram Air hood on the car, though there is no Ram Air system components on the car and the documentation I have does not show it as being a Ram Air car. The hood is a nice piece to already have on the car if one would like to make it Ram Air. Dash is great, carpet is new, headliner and seat covers are new. It has a hood tach so there are no extra factory gauges just idiot lights, so two aftermarket gauges (oil press/temp) have been added under the dash. The car also has its original factory walnut shift knob on the HURST shifter.
I"ve driven the car about 3000 miles since I"ve owned it. I haven"t driven it 50 miles in 3 years, and it"s time for somebody else to enjoy this car. Any questions should be directed to my phone because I don"t like dealing with the computer. Call me at 207 754 1027 between 8am-8pm eastern for any questions concerning the car. Thanks and good luck bidding.
