Vehicle description
1970 Plymouth Duster 340 with a 1971 engine and 727 transmission, that is an older restoration. The original rebuilt A833 4 speed, pedals, bellhousing, and Hurst shifter and linkage will be included in sale at new owners discretion. Very straight. NO Rust. . Paint Is PPG base/clear.
Current engine is 30 over with stock rods and 10.5:1 Speed Pro pistons. Block has been line bored and decked, and has ARP main and head studs. It has a custom grind Ultradyne solid lift cam (.251 in & .255 ex @ .050 duration, .570 in & .581 ex lift at 106 lobe separation). Ported, polished X heads with 2.055 in and 1.625 ex valves. Crane valve springs, Comp Cams roller rockers and pushrods. Polished M1 single plane intake with Mighty Demon 750 DP fed by Summit electric pump and BG 2 port regulator. Flowkooler water pump and Griffin radiator keeps it running cool. Crane HI-6 ignition and coil, Accel billet distributor. Brand new TTI step headers and Dynomax 3" exhaust exiting in front of axle.
The Torqueflite tranny has a Turbo action, reverse manual valve body and a 9.5 in Dynamic converter and is shifted by a Hurst QuarterStick. 489 Case Suregrip with 3.55 gears, superstock springs and KYB shocks. Centerline Warrior wheels 15x4 front, and 15x8.5 rear. Manual steering and brakes with Kelsey Hayes discs up front and drum rear, welded in frame ties. .
Interior is stock with exception of Summit sport seats, and CD player.
Car is always garaged and covered. Only driven to shows. Never raced. Multiple show winner. Draws attention wherever it goes. Runs on 92 Octane and is lots of fun to drive.
