The family has owned this 442 since it was just four years old. It has been kept "as original as possible" and stored during the winter months for most of its life. This rare 442 Convertible has never received a full restoration (the mileage is just 70,050!). It was repainted its factory original Matador Red (in the mid "90"s) and has the original black interior with a black convertible top. Power options include steering, brakes, and top. The production number for the 442 convertibles in 1970 was only 2,933. Of those, only 549 were 4 speeds. AND, add air-conditioning. . how many of those were built?
Overall, the condition is "driver and "casual show cruiser". It has been stored for many years with very limited use. A recent mechanical inspection resulted in upgrades including a new starter and alternator, new brakes - including lines, master cylinder and new front end parts, a new clutch, oil change and tune-up (receipts included).
