Vehicle description
I am reluctantly listing my 1970 Monte Carlo 454, Super Sport, Turbo 400, 12 bolt rear end, factory sway bars front and back with boxed control arms. The transmission still retains the correct matching number Vin to the car, Also I have the video documenting the original 454 motor that has the Vin number matching to this car, which the prior owner removed when he installed the high-performance 454, at that time he added a new Flowmaster crossover exhaust system, and the trans was built with a nice shift kit to handle the additional HP. The A/C compressor was removed and was stored with the original motor. unfortunately I did not get the original motor or A/C he wanted crazy money for it. The cowl tag shows, This is a factory bucket seat car with the center console, Nice optional tachometer and gauges, The colors inside and out are correct just as it came out of the factory, It’s still retains the original working AM/FM radio, The miles are correct showing 79,502 miles, The body retains all of its original metal. Its a Very solid California car that had only one repaint in 2008 Before coming to the east. this car runs exceptionally strong, recently I Prepared the car for a 700 mile road trip, I Installed a new 750 edelbrock carburetor, New Hei distributor and dropped the gas tank and cleaned it and replaced the sending unit, Fuel lines and sock filter, Every gauge in the dash works accurately like it should. I changed the oil with Valvoline Racing oil (6 quarts) of VR1-20-50 with a bottle of zinc additive. fresh Anti freeze, Also bought All New 15x8 rally wheels with new Mickey Thompson white letter tires. And added load leveler shocks in the rear. Power windows, Power disc brakes and Power steering, I have no documentation showing if this car was an original 454 SS, I do know the original motor and transmission & 12 bolt rear is number matching and correct to this Monte Carlo, but I did take a video of the original motor documenting the numbers and the correct Location of the Vin. With this being said I’m not gonna ask a ridiculous price for this car, but this is the best driving & rust free 52-year-old 454 Monte Carlo you can find, She’s extremely solid and fast! You can contact me at (252-665-1341) Duke. I welcome anybody to come look at this car in person, you would not be disappointed.
