Vehicle description
1970 MGB GT: (California car that is exempt from smog requirements) I recently bought this car with the idea of installing a Rover V8 but I realize I have way to many projects so I am selling it.
Chrome bumpers, historic vehicle, restoration project in Flame Red with Black interior. Good drivetrain (engine, transmission, rear differential). Floors look relatively sound. Frame is great shape too. Dash/gauges are all in good condition. Solid glass all around. New 12 Volt single battery.
The coachwork is quite solid and in good condition. The interior needs to be refurbished
The car was very driven until 2013 when the clutch went out.
Although the car started fine last year, presently the car tries to start but does not continue to run. Although the fuel pump works fine, non-use seems to have resulted in fuel delivery problem . Also, I"m sure the SU carburators (as is normally the case) will likely require tuning. I do believe this should be an easy fix.
This is a classic, complete solid car with excellent potential for full restoration. I have a Rover V8 I will sell cheap if interested
The car will require trailer collection, due to the mechanical issues.
