Vehicle description

1970 IH Travelall 1200 4x4 Rare ¾-Ton Factory 4x4 Very Straight Project Local Since New You are bidding on a very rare International Harvester Travelall 1200 ¾-ton factory 4x4 SUV. This truck is a rolling, project, currently NOT running or driving, with an early Chevrolet 454 long block engine. The truck was running some years back before the carb, intake, and ignition were taken off. The truck features Chevrolet ¾-ton axles and springs, giving it what probably amounts to 4 or so inches of spring lift. The drivetrain is essentially complete with the non-running 454 long block, transmission, transfer case, drivelines, and of course axles. This was and is a genuine factory 4x4 truck, not a conversion. I have the original bill of sale, line setting ticket, owner’s manual, and other documentation. As you can see, the exterior of the truck is very straight with few outer-body rust presentations. This would make a great “survivor” 4x4 by getting it running and driving essentially as-is. The interior features a very nice bucket-and-buddy seat, original on original tracks, and an original middle seat on original tracks. The gauges are present and in decent condition. This truck came fully loaded including the dress-up Deluxe trim package, bucket/buddy front seat, air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, and more. Continue with a big- or small-block Chevy build, or revert back to the original 392 Cornbinder engine. Original colors appear to have been white with red interior (one old repaint of red over the white exterior). While an extremely straight truck that could be back on the road with minor work, it does have rust issues in the door sills and inside around the perimieter. . these old IH trucks had condensation issues and rust presented where the vertical surfaces met the floors. Also, the cowl has been damaged by a tree limb. Sold as-is, with original paperwork and clear title matching VIN exactly. You may call me directly at with any questions you may have. Please, no zero- or low-feedback buyers without contacting me first. Clear title in transit to me (just transferred), matches VIN exactly for export, inspection, etc. International buyers are welcome as long as you contact me first, and are able to pay promptly. Please be prepared to remit payment in full within 3 days of auction"s end via deposit to my Bank of America account, or bank-to-bank wire transfer. While every effort is being made to describe the Jeep as accurately as possible, it is in fact a 48-year-old classic and therefore being sold exactly as-is, without warranty or guarantee expressed, written, or implied. Expect minor gremlins and small issues associated with a vintage vehicle of this age and era. Shipping is the full responsibility of the buyer; I will make the vehicle and myself available for loading on short notice, and can help coordinate a carrier if that helps you. I own a local full-service restoration shop (Rose Lane Restorations); check out my site for many more images. Please feel free to call Tim at 360-936-9257 with any questions you may have.
