SoCal Classic Car Storage, LLC in Laguna Hills, CA is proud to present this1970 Dodge Challenger R/T Tribute Car in what many have considered the perfect color combination. On behalf of one of our client"s, we"re consigning this vehicle and offering it for sale.
GENERAL INFO :
The Dodge Challenger made its debut in the fall of 1969 as a 1970 model . While it shared Chrysler’s “E-body” short-deck, long-hood platform with the third-generation Plymouth Barracuda, Dodge Challenger’s wheelbase was two inches longer, creating more interior space.
The Dodge Challenger was originally offered as either a two-door hardtop or convertible, in base, SE (Special Edition), R/T (Road/Track) and T/A (Trans Am) trim. But it was the range of powertrain choices that was truly remarkable. Befitting the brand’s performance heritage, the Dodge Challenger went racing in its first year. For the street, it was offered in the limited-edition T/A model to meet homologation requirements for Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) Trans Am racing. The T/A was one of the first production vehicles to offer different size tires, front and back; E60 x 15 in the front, G60 x 15 in the rear. In 1970, Sam Posey drove the lone Trans Am racing Challenger, prepared and run by Ray Caldwell’s Autodynamics Race Shop. While he didn’t win a race in the No. 77 car, Posey finished fourth overall in points. Now, focusing on this Challenger, it underwent a full restoration 4 years ago and shows very well. From the exterior body panels to the factory replaced interior, one will enjoy this iconic American muscle car for decades to follow. You"ll notice the body panels all align as they should without any misaligned or overlapping gaps. The panels are laser straight with the paint finish showing plenty of luster and gloss. All of the chrome and trim pieces have been either replaced or refinished. Open the hood, and feel reassured that all of the mechanical components have been replaced or rebuilt. This Challenger is turn-key and ready for it"s new owner. The car recently underwent a safety inspection and tune-up. I"ve driven it and it tracks straight, stops at it should and has plenty of power. Video: https:/ youtu.be/ba8sVwlNytI
ENGINE - DRIVETRAIN : 375 hp 440 cu in (7.2 L) Magnum 3-Speed Torque Flite automatic transmission New 15" Five Spoke Cragar Wheels New tires 225/60/15 New suspension New exhaust New brake system New gas tank 4 Core aluminum radiator
INTERIOR : New complete upholstery kit (bucket seats, carpet, door panels, headliner and trunk)
Overall, this Challenger is an upper tier, driver quality restoration and guaranteed to make any new owner happy. So if you"re in the market for a clean, fast and fun muscle car that is turn-key, consider stopping by for a peek. You won"t be disappointed and once you get behind the wheel, the feel and sound will make all your worries disappear and leave you with a permanent smile. And who doesn"t like to smile? ????
